Decorative art box made with English Black Walnut and Sugar Maple inlay keys in corners and a limestone fossil lid. Another elegant gift for that special somebody.

This wood decorative art box combines the rarity of Curly Maple Wood and Trilobite fossils embedded in limestone forming the lid.  A gift that would accentuate any decor.

This Maple decorative art box proudly displays its limestone fossil lid with Black Cherry Walnut inlay keys set in beveled corners.  A gift for any occasion.

The style of this particular wood box is derived from a box design used for holding all the important family papers.  This particular piece draws it’s design from a chest that was made in New York State around 1825.

Shaped with period tools circa 1850’s; dovetail jointed, & glued.  Finished with a pure tung oil to accentuate the natural patina of the one hundred year old Virgin White Pine and Hemlock. Hardware: Forged Iron Hinges & Sand Cast Handles, used in the 17th and 18th centuries. Chest is  27″ Long by 121/2″ Wide by 12 ½” High.
